Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in the Chinese capital of Beijing on Wednesday to take part in celebrations to mark the 70th anniversary of Japan’s surrender in World War II and to meet with high-ranking Chinese officials, according to Sputnik News.
During the two-day visit, Putin is to meet his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping and China's Premier Li Keqiang to discuss trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
The agenda for Putin’s visit to Beijing includes talks on the subject of e-commerce and cooperation within the framework of international organizations, including the United Nations, the G-20 and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum.
According to Russian presidential aide, Yuri Ushakov, about 30 bilateral documents are scheduled to be signed in Beijing during the president's official visit.
