Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry separately met Tuesday with the speakers of the Romanian House of Representatives and Senate.
Shoukry posted them on the outcome of his talks with the Romanian foreign minister, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid.
He praised Romania's transition to democracy, noting that Egypt is looking forward to benefiting from its experiment.
Shoukry thanked Minsk for its support for Egypt at international gatherings, hoping such support would be reflected at the parliamentary level as well.
The Egyptian top diplomat also briefed the Romanian parliament speakers on Egypt's economic reform program and measures.
Egypt is going through a difficult phase, given the aggravating crises in the region, Shoukry acknowledged, adding that Egypt is exerting a big effort to restore peace and stability.
