Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi arrived in the headquarters of the Hungarian parliament, also the headquarters of the Cabinet on Friday.
Prime Minister Viktor Orban welcomed the president.
The official ceremony began by playing the national anthems and reviewing the guard of honor.
Sisi and Orban started bilateral talks which will be followed by plenary talks on ways to boost bilateral cooperation especially in the economic field.
The talks will be attended by Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, Investment Minister Ashraf Salman, Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker and Egyptian Ambassador to Hungary Mahmoud Maghrabi, presidential spokesman Alaa Yousef said.
President Sisi arrived here on Thursday evening coming from Germany on the second leg of his European tour.
