Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Sunday met with Italy's Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni.
The meeting took up promoting the bilateral ties between Cairo and Rome as well as issues of mutual interests, notably the situation in Libya, said the Presidency Spokesman Alaa Yousef.
During the meeting, Sisi stressed that concerted international efforts are needed to reach a comprehensive solution to the Libyan crisis, Yousef added.
Gentiloni conveyed the greetings of the Italian prime minister to Sisi, stressing his country's keenness on promoting relations with Egypt at all levels.
The meeting was attended by Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and Italy's Ambassador in Cairo Maurizio Massari.
