President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received here Sunday special envoy of Mauritanian president and Justice Minister Ibrahim Ould Dadah, who arrived here earlier today.
The Mauritian envoy handed over an invitation from Mauritian President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz to President Sisi to attend the upcoming Arab summit, which will be held in Nouakchott at the end of July, said Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef.
The Mauritian envoy, meanwhile, affirmed his country's appreciation of the ties binding Mauritania and Egypt.
He also appreciated Egypt's role during its chairing of the current Arab summit.
President Sisi welcomed the invitation and conveyed his greetings to the Mauritanian president, said the spokesman.
The president also hailed efforts exerted by the Mauritanian government to organize the upcoming Arab summit, voicing Egypt's readiness to cooperate with Mauritania in this respect.
