Sisi receives personal envoy of Chinese president

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Saturday received Chinese Minister of Culture Luo Shugang, who doubles as the personal envoy of the Chinese president.

According to Egyptian Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Alaa Youssef, the envoy conveyed to President Sisi the greetings of the Chinese president and his desire to receive President Sisi in China to attend the victory celebrations.

The envoy also conveyed congratulations of the Chinese president over the inauguration of the New Suez Canal that took place on Thursday, added the spokesman.

For his part, President Sisi highlighted the various domains of joint cooperation, especially that Egypt will shortly launch several development projects.
