President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi
Abu Dhabi - Arab Today

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's visit to UAE on Tuesday reflects the strong ties binding Egypt and UAE as the countries attached great importance to their relations throughout their history, reported WAM news agency according to "Akhbar Al-Sa'a" Bulletin released by UAE Center For Strategic Studies and Research.

Under the title of "Strength of Egypt-UAE Relation", the bulletin said Sisi's visit to UAE is the second of its kind since he assumed office, reflecting a depth of bilateral relations and the distinguished position enjoyed by UAE in Egypt.

Official statements have said that Sisi's talks in the UAE will address means of pushing ahead the distinguished relations in all fields, regional challenges facing the region which required taking swift actions to stand against any threats to the Arab national security in view of the spread of the vicious cycle of terrorism and extremism in the region.

Sisi's visit to the UAE this time acquires double importance as it comes amid radical changes in the region, especially the situation in Yemen and the successive achievements made by the Saudi Arabia-led Arab coalition formed to contain the violence and turmoil in Yemen and bring back legitimacy to the sisterly Arab country which has suffered a lot of instability at both the political and economic levels.

The visit also comes at the time when Egypt is electing its House of Representatives which is the third phase of Egypt's roadmap plan, supported by UAE, in order to end two years of the transitional phase in Egypt and launch a new phase that could meet the aspirations of the Egyptian people towards stability and security.

Sisi's visit to UAE also provides a chance for beefing up economic relations in view of the important UAE stance supportive of stability and security in Egypt through a number of investment and development projects funded and carried out in Egypt.

The two sides will also hold consultations on mutual relations as well as regional and international issues of common interest.
