The Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi met last night with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and the World Bank President Jim Yong Kim. 
Ban Ki-moon welcomed the country's democratic progress while reaffirming the United Nations' support to its citizens and Government. 
The Secretary-General also expressed the global community's concern about the terrorist attacks that recently targeted Tunisia. 
"The United Nations recognizes the impact of the situation in Libya on Tunisia, in particular on its economy and security," he added. 
Meanwhile, the World Bank President Jim Yong Kim announced the allocation of an estimated one billion dollars over four years to Tunisia annual grant. 
Tunisian Prime Minister Habib Essid and Tunisian parliament speaker, Mohammed Nasser each separately met with the Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon and World Bank President Jim Yong Kim. 
UN Secretary-General and the World Bank President affirmed during the two meetings the UN and the World Bank's support to Tunisia efforts in the fight against terrorism and in its progress on the path of democracy and continue to defend the rights and freedoms, despite the various security challenges. 
They also Tunisia efforts and actions to reduce unemployment, economic and social disparities and to respond to the demands of young people.
