Hasan Ahmed Al Shehi, has presented his credentials to Iraqi President Fuad Masum as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the UAE to Iraq.
Ambassador Al Shehhi conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to President Masum. He underscored the close fraternal ties between the two countries as well as the importance of enhancing these ties in all spheres and at all levels.
The Iraqi president requested the ambassador to convey his greetings to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid as well as his best wishes for continuous progress, prosperity and development for the UAE.
President Masum commended the UAE leadership for its positions on the issues of the Arab nation and the Muslim nation. He also commended the UAE for achieving wide urban development and progress thanks to the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed.
He added that Iraq and the UAE have a lot of issues in common.
The Iraqi president also hailed the UAE's stances for Iraq and its support for the country in all spheres and at all levels. He stressed that work is underway to further enhance these relations to fulfil the aspirations of the leaders and peoples of both countries.
