Yemen's President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi received at his residence in Riyadh on Thursday United States Secretary of State John Kerry.
They discussed the latest developments in Yemen and ways of supporting efforts being exerted to enhance peace in the region, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Kerry assured Hadi that the US backs his legitimacy, noting that Washington supports unity and sovereignty of Yemen.
He added that there was full coordination with the Arab coalition force, saying that the Houthis we will not be allowed to threaten international peace and security.
The US official extended his condolences over the death of civilians by the Houthi militants in al-Tawahi district in the southern Yemeni port city of Aden Wednesday.
