Yemeni Foreign Minister Riyadh Yassin met on Thursday here with the United Nations (UN) Special Envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed.
The meeting took up the latest developments in the violence-hit Arab country and the support of the Yemeni legitimate leadership to the efforts of the UN to achieve stability, according to the governmental Yemeni News Agency.
Yassin underlined that the actions of the Houthi militias and loyalists of Ali Abdullah Saleh reflect their ugly side as they intimidate civilians.
The Yemeni top diplomat urged the UN and the international community to exercise pressure on these militias and implement the related decisions of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to solve the Yemeni crisis.
For his part, the UN envoy stressed on the importance of resuming the political process in light of the Gulf initiative
