Cairo - MENA

Arab League (AL) Secretary General Nabil el Araby received an invitation form Georgia's foreign minister Tamar Beruchashvili to visit his country to discuss means of promoting joint cooperation.

The invitation was received by the Deputy Secretary General of the AL Ahmed Bin Helli during a meeting on Monday with Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister David Jalagania.

In press statements, Bin Helli said the meeting took up terrorism issues and the measures taken by the AL to combat extremism.

He further reiterated that the AL's decisions, which are related to terrorism and issued in September 2014 during the Sharm el Sheikh Summit, were also tackled, stressing the importance of unifying the international efforts to fight this phenomenon.
