Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry is due to meet on Sunday with his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who will start a two-day visit to Egypt tomorrow.
The top diplomats are expected to discuss ways of boosting ties along with other regional and international issues of common concern, including the situation in Libya, Yemen and Syria.
The meeting is also expected to touch on combating terrorism efforts and the war against the terrorist Daesh group.
Also on Sunday, Shoukry will meet with United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Nickolay Mladenov.
