Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar Abadi conferred on Saturday with Iraqi religious scholar Mohammad Fayyad on the latest political and security developments in Iraq.

Also, Iraqi Parliament Speaker Selim el Gabouri arrived in Najaf to attend the tribes conference held to support the efforts exerted to back national reconciliation efforts in Iraq.

The Iraqi speaker welcomed the invitation of the Iraqi Shiite scholar Ali Al Sistani that any governmental reforms should come in line with the Iraqi constitution.

The Iraqi speaker's media spokesman said the invitation of the Iraqi Shiite scholar gave a strong impetus to the paper of parliamentary reforms that should come in line with the Iraqi constitution.
