A joint trilateral action team from the United Nations, the African Union and the Sudanese government will visit Darfur on Sunday to assess the reality of the situation there.
In statements on Friday, Spokesman for the Sudanese Foreign Ministry Ali al Sadig said that team's program includes week-long field visits to the five states of Darfur.
He added that the team will also hold a meeting in Khartoum on May 23 to ratify the findings of its work in the five states of Darfur.
