Egypt’s Administrative Court on Monday decided to postpone until December 5 examining an appeal filed by the State Lawsuits Authority against a recent court ruling about the invalidity of the Tiran and Sanafir islands agreement.
In the appeal, the authority called for annulling the verdict.
In April, the Egyptian government signed a deal with Saudi Arabia to hand over two Red Sea islands; Tiran and Sanafir, to Saudi sovereignty, part of a wider agreement on border demarcation.
The postponement decision came as the court offered a chance for responding, commenting and submitting documents pertaining to the case.
