Jared Leto sent gross gifts to his Suicide Squad co-stars.
Adam Beach, who portrays Slipknot in the film, revealed as much in an interview with E! News on Wednesday. Leto stars as the Joker, and surprised his castmates with presents worthy of the DC Comics villain.
"He sent Harley [Quinn, portrayed by Margot Robbie] a nice love letter with a black box with a rat in it -- a live rat," Beach shared. "It was beautiful. Then he sent bullets to Will [Smith, who plays Deadshot] and a letter. And a dead hog and a video of him in character [to] all of us."
"He encompasses this beautiful man and he shows it in, 'Hello, how are you?' [while in character]," he said. "But in an instant, [the Joker] goes to psychotic behavior where you're in fear. But you love him because he has both of those genuine sides."
Leto teased his new look for the movie before his full transformation was revealed in April. Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger previously portrayed the villain in Batman (1989) and The Dark Knight (2008), respectively.
Suicide Squad is directed by David Ayer (Fury), and opens in theaters August 5, 2016. Robbie was spotted with a motorcycle on set last month, and Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney and Cara Delevingne also star as Rick Flag, Captain Boomerang and Enchantress.
