Lady Gaga and Paul McCartney have teamed up on new music.
The 28-year-old singer took to Instagram to share photos of herself with the 72-year-old musician Tuesday. Lady Gaga and McCartney were joined by Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready and several other instrumentalists in the studio.
"Always a good time with my buddy. I'll never forget when he prank called me last year to work and I hung up the phone cuz I thought it was a prank!" the pop star captioned a picture of herself with McCartney.
"Had a beautiful session with Sir Paul McCartney and friends," she added on a group snapshot of herself, McCartney, McCready and other performers. "Working on one of his many secret projects! Killer musicians, vibe, and lots of laughs."
McCartney is best known as a member of the Beatles, and recently recorded new single "FourFiveSeconds" with Rihanna and Kanye West for Rihanna's upcoming album. The trio will perform the song at the 2015 Grammy Awards on Feb. 8.
Lady Gaga last released duet album Cheek to Cheek with Tony Bennett in September, and will also perform at the Grammy Awards with the 88-year-old singer. Previous to Cheek to Cheek, Lady Gaga debuted her third studio record, Artpop, in November 2013.
