Lady Gaga will play an evil character on American Horror Story: Hotel.
Series creator Ryan Murphy teased the 29-year-old singer's role during a San Diego Comic-Con panel Sunday. Murphy told Lady Gaga she "came to the right place" after the pop star approached him about portraying a villain on the show.
"She's been very collaborative and incredibly fun," he said. "When you work with somebody like her, you sign up for something that I think is larger than life ... Part of her role involves fashion. You want Lady Gaga to look a certain way. Designers have been coming out of the woodwork."
Murphy was accompanied by several cast members, including Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters, and confirmed Hotel will continue to connect to past seasons. He previously revealed Lady Gaga will have a love triangle storyline with Finn Wittrock and Matt Bomer.
American Horror Story premiered in 2011, and will return for a fifth season in October. The horror series features several recurring actors in new roles each season, and released a teaser of Lady Gaga checking into the titular hotel Monday.
