New James Bond 'Spectre' teaser released ahead of trailer

Welcome back, Mr. Bond.

IGN has announced that the trailer for the upcoming James Bond film Spectre will be released early Wednesday -- 12 a.m. PT/ 3 a.m. ET/ 8 a.m. GMT -- on www.007.com.

The popular film series has seen great success with the last Bond film, Skyfall bringing in over $1 billion worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing Bond movie ever.

Despite its ever growing popularity, the film's director Sam Mendes was hesitant to return to the film due to plans for a two-part Spectre series. Since then, the "plans were discarded, and the next two Bond films will stand alone," the online magazine said.

Though this was Mendes' second Bond film, he plans on making it his last, calling the latest wrap-up an "enormous undertaking."

"I don't think I could go down that road again," he told The Guardian. "You do have to put everything else on hold. It feels almost, even though we've just finished shooting [Spectre], like one big experience and it was a fantastic life-changing thing ... It really is more a lifestyle choice than a job."

Daniel Craig will return as Agent 007, joined by co-stars Christopher Waltz, Monica Bellucci, Dave Bautista and Ralph Fiennes as "M."

Spectre is set to release worldwide on Nov. 6 with an earlier release in the U.K. on Oct. 26.
