Despite abysmal sales in Britain and Australia, Robin Thicke's new album, Paula, debuted at No. 2 on Billboard's R&B/hip-hop chart, following Trey Songz's Trigga.
Paula sold just 54 copies in Australia and 530 copies in Britain, but its 24,000 copies sold in the United States was enough to put it in the No. 2 spot on the chart.
Thicke's single Get Her Back dropped from the No. 25 spot to No. 33 this week on the R&B/hip-hop songs chart.
Meanwhile, Songz's latest album, Trigga, sold 105,000 copies in its opening week, planting it firmly in the No. 1 album spot for the week ending July 6. The album also took the No. 1 spot in the Billboard 200.
He has four songs on the R&B/hip-hop songs chart, including Na Na at No. 5 and Foreign at No. 26.
