Salma Hayek and daughter Valentina Pinault attended the Los Angeles premiere of Kahlil Gibran's The Prophet on Wednesday.
The 48-year-old actress and her seven-year-old "mini-me" lit up the red carpet at the Bing Theater at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Valentina is Hayek's only child by husband Francois-Henri-Pinault, whom she married in 2009.
"It's actually a grandmother-mother-daughter date night," the actress told People before the premiere. "[Valentina is] excited to see [the movie] again and show it to her friends, but she's also excited because we have a lot of people from the Disney Channel here."
"I never [put her in the spotlight], but it's a special occasion," she explained. "She suffered through Mommy not being around for so long with this one. She's been a part of it because she had to sacrifice also for this film."
The Prophet is adapted from the Kahlil Gibran book of the same name, and features the voices of Hayek, Liam Neeson and Quvenzhane Wallis. The actress is also scheduled to voice a character in Sausage Party, and will next appear in Septembers of Shiraz with Adrien Brody.
