Egyptian actress Reem el-Baroudi began filming scenes for latest movie Zigzag on Sunday, marking her return to the big screen after Either Me Or Him. El-Baroudi says she is pleased with the new project which she is hoping will step up her career in a big way. Zigzag tackles the emotional suffering experienced by women in Arab societies through the story of a gang of four friends. El-Baroudi plays one of the four: a divorcee trying to prove herself in a society that paints divorced women in a negative light. The film co-stars Mohammed Nagati, Mirna el-Mohandes, Hala Sedki and Aida Riyad. It was written by Amani el-Bahtouti and is directed by Osama Omar.
