The Saudi General Authority for Entertainment (GAE) has deplored the violation committed by organizers of the Saudi Comic Con event at one of the associated activities.
Saudi Comic Con is organized by Time Entertainment.
The authority said in a statement that despite the success of the event in general, in terms of content and organizing by the executing company, some activities associated with the event violated one of the terms issued by the authority.
“The violation has been monitored by the authority’s staff and was halted at the time. Sanctions will be applied against the executing company in parallel with what has been committed in violations,” the statement read.
The authority has reiterated its role as a regulator and developer of the entertainment sector in the Kingdom, and its quest to upgrade all its elements, components, and its potentials as well.
The GAE also confirmed that it takes into account the preservation of moral values and traditions, and considers it a priority in all its projects and recreational activities offered to the homeland and the citizen.
The authority also welcomed any constructive criticism or suggestions through its accounts on social media channels, which include @Roznamah_sa, because it believes that “the citizen is the primary beneficiary of these activities, and these activities should keep pace with their aspirations and ambitions to improve the entertainment sector, and reach the acceptance of the sons and daughters of our beloved country.”
