Actor Mohamed Henidy’s new movie “Teta Raheba” (Grandma is Horrible) came on the top in the Eid film season race, as the production made 20,00,800 EGP ($ 460,040), followed by Ahmed al-Sakka with “Baba” which rang up 20,00,350 ($ 386,000). Third place Hamada Helal lagged behind with “Mr And Mrs Owais” which made 10,00,000 EGP ($ 164,300), followed by “El Bar” (The Bar) which earned 266,000 EGP ($ 43,705). “Teta Raheba” stars Mohamed Henidy, Samiha Ayoub, Emy Samir Ghanem, Edward, Maged el-Kedwany and Abdel Rahman Abo Zahra. It was written by Youssif Maaty and directed by Sameh Abdel Aziz. The story tells of a grandmother who lives with her grandchild and controls him, and he always tries to break free of her control. “Baba” stars Ahmed al-Sakka, Dorra, Edward, Khaled Sarhan, Soliman Eid and Salah Abdallah. Written by Zeinab Aziz and directed by Ali Edrees, the movie is about a doctor (played by Ahmed al-Sakka) who loves a décor engineer (played by Dorra) and then comic events occur until they marry. "Mr And Mrs Owais” stars singer Hamada Helal, Boshra, is a comedy about a playboy who wants to be a popular singer, eventually marrying an Upper Egyptian girl who dominates him, though he ends up loving her in the end. Lotfy Labib, Edward, Titiana and child artist Janah Mahmoud also star in the film, written by Karim Fahmy and directed by Akram Farid. “El Bar” is written by Mostafa Salem and directed by Mazen al-Gabaly. It includes many new faces, like Mohamed Ahmed Maher, Osama Asaad, Ali al-Tayeb, Tona, Reiham Nabil, Mahy Salah el-Din and Ahmed Abdallah Mahmoud. The movie is about a bar, that depicts stories of four girls and the problems they face, with each expressing their different points of view.
