Omaha - Arab Today

It’s no secret that power can be dangerous in the hands of the corrupt. Jake Nikoli places power into the wrong hands in his new adult novel, “The Aggressively Submissive Hitch-Hiker: Because No Good Deed Goes Unpunished” (published by AuthorHouse), which explores gossip, abusive representatives, and the struggles one faces when growing up. Jake, an average 18-year-old, sees a young woman walking away from her vehicle along the side of the interstate as he drives home. Upon finding out she has run out of gas and simply needs a ride, he decides she seems safe and lets her in his car – a decision that will haunt him for the rest of his life. After helping the girl get gas, she and Jake part ways. While they say goodbye that night, it won’t be the last time Jake sees her. Throughout “The Aggressively Submissive Hitch-Hiker,” readers watch as the persistent girl watches Jake from afar and stalks him, only talking to him when he is reading an article on his tablet. An excerpt from “The Aggressively Submissive Hitch-Hiker”: “Then I got bored again and flipped the webpage. A new synthetic material which some chemists at KTM in Stockholm have developed is actually able to imitate the process of photosynthesis and at a record level. The molecular catalyst which was used sped the process up to such a rate it actually approached productivity comparable to natural plants. The rate at which they ingest and process energy is referred to as turn overs per second. Someone screamed through the music, ‘Grow up and come talk to me you little pervert!’” Source: PRWEB
