Absolute Hotel Service India has expanded its portfolio of hotels in India with the signing of the U Tropicana Resort, Alibag. Tropicana Resort Alibag, owned by Mumbai based Tropicana Leisure Hospitality, is currently operational with 12 rooms and will be further developed and renovated before being re-branded as the U Tropicana Alibag in December 2012. With an eventual total of 159 rooms as well as an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a bar, banqueting facilities, a spa, gym and two swimming pools, the resort will be spread over 12 acres of land. Located on the Mapgaon Road, near the village of Chondi, the resort is a fifteen-minute drive from Mandwa Jetty. The resort will feature 106 Standard Rooms, 46 Deluxe Rooms, 2 Suites and 5 Deluxe Suites and will be built in phases with 39 rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, a bar lounge, a banquet hall, a gym and swimming pool, all scheduled to be ready by December 2012 under Phase I. Phase II will see 120 more rooms being built along with a spa, a specialty restaurant and two more banquet halls. Guests will be able to enjoy U’s concept of service, including a 24-hour room policy which will allow guests to enjoy their room for 24 hours from arrival, breakfast whenever/wherever, free Wi-Fi, international and local calls at cost, pre-selection of amenities such as pillow, tea, music and soap that guests will be able to select from the online U Choose programme and more.
