Air Arabia announced the expansion of its service to the Turkish city of Istanbul, from the carrier's primary hub in Sharjah, UAE. Beginning June 10, 2011, Air Arabia will offer 7-weekly flights, an addition of three flights to the existing schedule, making it easier and more convenient for passengers to visit this historic locale. On Mondays, Wednesday, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays flights will depart Sharjah International Airport at 20:45 arriving at Istanbul Sabiha Airport at 00:15. Return flights will depart Istanbul at 01:10 arriving Sharjah at 06:15 (local time). On Tuesdays and Thursdays flights will depart Sharjah International Airport at 11:20 arriving at Istanbul Sabiha Airport at 14:45. Return flights will depart Istanbul at 15:50 arriving Sharjah at 20:45 (local time). "We are extremely pleased to announce the expansion of service between Sharjah and Istanbul, which will further enhance the air travel options for the residents of both States," said AK Nizar, Head of Commercial Department at Air Arabia. "In 2010, Air Arabia carried over 43,000 passengers on this route; this number reflects the ever growing appeal for Air Arabia flights between the two cities and we look forward to offering our customers with the best value for money travel options". In addition to providing daily non-stop service to Turkey, Air Arabia also offers a range of value-for-money holiday packages, including hotel accommodation and visa assistance, according to a release.
