Air Canada said Saturday it has reached a tentative contract agreement with the union representing its in-flight service crew schedulers. The deal with Canadian Auto Workers Local 2002, is subject to ratification by the 76 employees, who coordinate work schedules for flight attendants, and approval by the air carrier's board of directors, the company said in a release. The deal was announced the day after Air Canada reached a tentative contract with the union representing its 8,600 mechanics, baggage handlers and cargo agents. That contract also must be ratified by the workers, who are represented by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. Details of the pacts were not released. In the past year, Air Canada's pilots and flight attendants rejected tentative deals reached by their union negotiators.
