Royal Jordanian Airlines (RJ)
Amman - Petra

Aviation was back to normal on Saturday following a temporary chaos forced by a three-day blizzard that swept across the Kingdom and prompted airlines to reschedule flights, officials said.
It was business-as-usual as far as air travel was concerned after the snowstorm that hit on Thursday evening subsided, but Royal Jordanian (RJ) emergency personnel remained on alert in anticipation of freezing forecast overnight, said RJ CEO Haitham Misto.
"RJ cadres managed during the snowstorm to put in place and proficiently carry out a contingency plan, which directly reflected on operational efficiency and passenger satisfaction," he told Petra in an interview.
Misto said that 95 percent of passengers had travelled aboard RJ, the national carrier, according to their flight schedules, while only five percent had their flights changed upon their requests, but these were exempted from any additional fees or fines," considering the passengers' conditions and wishes.
He said RJ, through its emergency staff, was in touch with the passengers to keep them posted on flight dates and inform them how to get to the airport during the blizzard that blanketed the Kingdom, with snow blocking highways and key routes, causing disruptions and playing havoc with transportation countrywide.
Misto also commended the level of cooperation among all state agencies and emergency response crews, which had largely helped the country to deal with the aftermath of the severe weather conditions.
