Kuwait's Ambassador to Germany Monther Bader Al-Issa underlined here on Saturday the importance of Kuwait's participation in the International Tourism Exchange (ITB), describing it as the largest tourist gathering in the world.
The event started on March 4 and concludes tomorrow (Sunday).
While inspecting the Kuwaiti pavilion with the Ministry of Trade and Industry's Assistant Undersecretary for tourism sector Samira Al-Gharib, Al-Issa underscored the necessity of participating permanently in the ITB as it is a significant opportunity to show the Kuwaiti image to Arab and foreign guests.
He and representatives of the Kuwaiti companies agreed on the necessity of exploiting the event to exchange expertise so as to revive the tourism sector and invest Kuwait's potentials in attracting tourists.
The event is expected to attract more than 174,000 visitors who can get acquainted with tourist opportunities presented by more than 10,000 exhibitors from about 186 countries.
The Tourism Sector of Kuwait's Ministry of Trade and Industry and a number of national companies as well as hotels are taking part in the event.
