A 30-tourist Australian group arrived in Luxor to visit archaeological sites in the east and west banks of the governorate, member of the tourism marketing committee in Luxor and Aswan Mohamed Othman said Saturday.

This is the first Australian tourist group to arrive in Luxor after an eight-year hiatus, he added.

Othman said an agreement was reached with major tourism companies in Australia to send tourist groups to Luxor weekly.
