Part of a Kansas City International Airport terminal was shut down Sunday when a passenger's carry-on bag triggered an alert, authorities said. Travelers in Terminal B were evacuated and police used a robot to place the bag in a container where it was blasted apart with high-pressure water. No explosives were found, The Kansas City Star reported. "When it was scanned, it appeared that something suspicious was in his carry-on luggage," FBI spokeswoman Bridget Patton said. The action was taken about 9:30 a.m. after the Southwest Airlines passenger refused to cooperate, the newspaper said. The terminal's operations returned to normal about 3 p.m. but the unidentified man was detained by authorities.
