Luxor has eight balloon companies that work well and witness a big demand from tourists who enjoy watching the Luxor antiquities from the sky. Balloon tourism is one of the most successful tourist patterns . It is exclusive in Luxor ,which embraces almost third of the Egyptian Antiquities and sixth of the world of human heritage . Tourists are always eager to experience this type of tours as they are much fun and exciting. A group of specialised companies organise such trips which begin in the early morning taking the tourists where across the Nile from his residence in the East Bank to the West Bank, passing through farms and green fields leading to the Valley of the Kings, where Tutankhamen's tomb is located and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the Valley of the Queens and then the balloon lands again. The balloon consists of a bag of light solid material filled with gas that is lighter than air. It goes up if the its total weight it is lighter than the weight of the air. helium gas, which is commonly used for this purpose weighs about 15% of air weight ,and this provides the force needed to lift the balloon . As air is compressible , the very lower layers of it are compressed by the effect of layers above it ,and the result is that air density value maximum at the sea surface and decreases as we gets higher until it disappears completely . This constant change in density causes the lifting force to decrease until the total weight of the balloon and helium equals the exact weight of the air displaced , at this height the balloon stops and pops as if it were above the surface of a liquid.
