Passengers travelling with British Airways (BA) in the coming days can avail of a series of special prices on bookings made to London and beyond, XPRESS can reveal. Paolo De Renzis, British Airways' Area Commercial Manager for the Middle East, told XPRESS on Wednesday that the "best prices" would be available on bookings made before July 21 for travel until August 31 to stimulate traffic during summer. "Customers can book flights in Club World (business class) from just Dh10,635, World Traveller Plus (premium economy) from Dh4,855 and World Traveller (economy class) from Dh2,595 - all inclusive return to London Heathrow," he said. "We have increased capacity out of the UAE by 20 per cent this summer compared to last year," he said, adding that the two daily flights of BA from Dubai now include one Boeing 747, as against two Boeing 777 earlier. In addition, the airline operates one Boeing 777 from Abu Dhabi every day. Article continues below He said almost 60 per cent of BA's long-haul fleet boast new First Class cabins. "We invested £100 million (Dh588 million) in First, new World Traveller and World Traveller Plus cabins and entertainment systems." He said the opening of Terminal 5 in London has helped improve punctuality and baggage performance and bring down transfer flight connection times to a minimum one hour.
