Gatwick Airport announced today that Caribbean Airlines, considered ‘Caribbean’s Leading Airline 2011’ by the prestigious World Travel Awards will launch non-stop flights between Gatwick and PiarcoInternational Airport, Port of Spain, Trinidad, four times a week. The airline will operate the route beginning 14th June 2012, with tickets now on sale. Additionally, a three weekly flight schedule will provide one-stop services via Barbados from 16 June 2012. Caribbean Airlines will operate the services on Boeing 767-300ER aircraft with state-of-the-art cabins, including in-seat power and video as well as flatbed business class seats. Trinidad’s natural resources of oil and gas make it an important business destination, with numerous world-leading corporations now based on the island. Trinidad is also celebrated for its vibrant culture and world-renowned festivals.
