Tourism Minister Hisham Zazou met on Tuesday with Alexander Radkov, head of the Russian Federal Agency for Tourism along with a number of representatives of the tourism sector in Russia. During the meeting, Zazou discussed measures for securing tourists in Egypt, voicing hope that the Russian government would lift the travel ban imposed on Egypt or at least exclude the Red Sea and South Sinai tourist resorts from the ban. "Tourist places in Egypt are now restoring stability," said the minister, welcoming experts from the Russian side to come and check on the situation on the ground. For his part, Radkov said that Egypt is a main tourist destination to the Russians, noting that Russian tourists will continue to visit Egypt after stability is restored.
