Egyptian Minister of Tourism Khaled Ramy arrived in London on Monday on a two-day visit to Britain as part of a European tour aimed at encouraging European tourists to visit Egypt.
The minister is due to hold talks with tour operators in Britain to discuss with them the best way for promoting British tourism into Egypt as Britain represents 9 percent of foreign tourism to Egypt.
The tour is meant to get firsthand information about demands of big travel exporters in those countries, Ramy said before leaving Cairo.
He added he will discuss with travel officials there ways to encourage charter flights.
Ramy will also discuss a campaign to be launched within the coming few months with the aim to promote travel to Egypt, particularly cultural and Nile tourism.
