Tourism Minister Khaled Rami received Tuesday managers of OFT Reisen; a German company working in the Nile and cultural tourism domain.
Senior officials at the company, working in Egypt for 25 years now, reviewed the steps that should be taken to promote Egyptian tourism products, especially in connection with cultural tourism.
About 60 percent of the recently-issued OFT Reisen guideline is about programs in Egypt, according to Marcel Mayer, the company's managing director, who voiced hope that cultural tourism products in Egypt would be intensified in the winter season.
OFT Reisen is planning for a joint German-Egyptian campaign in the German market, focusing on the River Nile and trips to Luxor and Aswan, Mayer said.
