The Kuwaiti embassy in Thailand has issued guidelines to Kuwaiti citizens seeking eid re-creation in the Kingdom, advising them to avoid dangerous locations, keep their passports and abstain from staying in the nation longer than the duration granted in the visa.
Those who violate residency regulations pay fines to the state for each day, the embassy warned.
The tourism visa is valid for 30 days and is granted at Bangkok International Airport. Those who wish to stay longer should check with the Thai embassy in Kuwait.
It advised against driving vehicles in the country without obtaining a license from the Thai authorities, urged the Kuwaiti tourists to read carefully apartments' rental contracts and advised that money must be solely withdrawn from banks' ATM machines.
Smoking is restricted to special places and tossing cigarettes buts onto streets and at public places is punishable by law.
Those who carry at least USD 20,000 should inform the custom authorities in writing.
The embassy is reachable via the phone number: 026366600. The mission can also be contacted for emergencies at 0918909998.
