The northern Italian city of Ferrara is to dedicate a square to one of its most famous sons, the great film director Michelangelo Antonioni. The square, in front of the city's music conservatory, will be dedicated on September 29, when the director who died in 2007 would have turned 100. A plaque will also be unveiled at the childhood home of the maker of such classics as L'Avventura (The Adventure, 1960), La Notte (The Night, 1961), Eclipse (1962), Red Desert (1964), Blowup (1966), Zabriskie Point (1970) and The Passenger (1975).
