Dubai based first low cost airline - Flydubai’s ‘On Timer Performance’ record is one of the best in the aviation industry, says the company’s CEO, Ghaith Al Ghaith. Al Ghaith while speaking to the press at the side-line the seventh annual Superbrands Tribute Event in Dubai recently, said that the airline has made tremendous process in a short span of two years since it was established. This achievement, he said is evident with the airline’s winning the Superbrands award for the first time. He noted that another measure of success is to look at how many flights are delayed. We knew there was a room for us in the market when we first launched, and our strategy has clearly paid dividend, said Al Ghaith. “It makes me proud to see that we have achieved so much in such a short period. We’ve taken the business head on, by surmounting all the obstacles and made it work,” said the CEO. He said that flydubai is well placed to continue to forge ahead penetrating into new markets with new innovations in the future. He expressed confidence that 2011 should be prosperous, not only for flydubai by the aviation industry in general. Fifty two other leading UAE brands were also awarded ‘Superbrands’ status at the ‘Oscars of Branding’ evening, which was attended by the country’s most prominent senior business, marketing and branding executives.
