The Follow up Committee of the Initiatives of UAE President has given approval for a number of internal and external roads projects at a total coast of Dh 271 million. At a meeting held today at the Presidential Affairs Ministry under the chairmanship of Ahmed Jumaa Al Zaabi, Deputy Minister for Presidential Affairs, the Committee listened to a detailed presentation on the internal roads that aims to develop the infrastructure of various emirates as well as the external roads linking the emirates. The current projects complement the Committee’s plan to develop and establish a network of modern roads in the country enabling it to keep pace with the construction boom, the steady increase in the population and the expanding transportation. The effort comes in implementation of the directives of the President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to give attention to comprehensive country-wide development. The Initiative, which is closely followed up by General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, also aims the completion of infrastructure projects the support the renaissance of the country.
