In 2010, London, Heathrow remained the European Union's busiest passenger airport, with 66 million passengers handled, according to figures released Monday by Eurostat, the EUs statistical office. Paris, Charles de Gaulle with 58 mn passenger and Frankfurt, Main with 53 mn passenger were the second and third busiest airports, followed by Madrid, Barajas with 50 mn passengers, and Amsterdam, Schiphol with 45 mn, passengers. However, nine of the top 30 airports in the EU registered decreases in the number of passengers handled in 2010. London, Heathrow handled the most passengers, 39 million, coimg from outside the EU. Amsterdam, Schiphol with 25 mn passengers handled the most intra-EU passengers and Madrid, Barajas with 19 mn the most domestic passengers.
