The number of tourists arriving from India to the Philippines is expected to double from 46,000 last year to 100,000 in 2014, the Philippines News Agency (PNA) said Wednesday citing an Indian tourism operators group. According to the Outbound Tour Operators Association of India (OTOAI), they are determined to maintain the momentum of travel to the Philippines despite the recent calamities that have affected the country. The president of OTOAI, addressing a press conference in Paranaque City urged support to keep the momentum and added that India chose the Philippines as one of its leading partners because of products and culture "very close to the Indian traveller".
