New online travel agent Loveholidays.com has seen bookings on its site go up 500% compared to last year. The OTA, which launched in early 2012, said its success has been down to its offering and easy-to-use website. “Since launching loveholidays.com last year we’ve seen a huge change in how people book through us. Over 70% of travellers have no direct contact with our call centre staff, they simply book a holiday online and away they go. It’s only the very expensive or complex bookings that tend to come in via phone. I believe this shows just how easy our website is to use and how much confidence users have built up in our website and products,” said its CEO Alex Francis. The website now plans to launch city breaks this year. Source: Traveldaily
