Malaysia Airlines (MAS) today officially opened its new office at the All Seasons Place Retail Centre in Wireless Road here. Malaysian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Thailand, Datuk Nazirah Hussain, and Bangkok Governor Sukhumbhand Paribatra attended the opening ceremony. MAS Regional Senior Vice-President for Asean Muzammil Mohamad said the relocation of the office showed another commitment by the carrier towards enhancing its strategic accessibility for its customers. Prior to this, MAS operated at Ploenchit Tower here for almost 40 years. "Today, customers look for service that provides them an emotional connection, a special touch, a unique moment and in Malaysia Airlines, we offer this experience through the globally acclaimed Malaysian Hospitality," he said at the opening ceremony. Muzammil said the strategic location of the new office, together with the latest ticketing facilities, was an important customer touch point that offered seamless travel engagement for both passengers and travel agents. MAS offers 41 flights weekly from Thailand to Malaysia, comprising 27 from Bangkok and 14 from Phuket. Sukhumbhand described the opening of the new office as a major step towards enhancing linkages between Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur. The governor said 12 million tourists visited Bangkok last year, and Malaysians made up the largest portion.
