Moscow - BNA

Culture Minister Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa today hailed landmark cultural cooperation bonding the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Russian Federation. She was speaking as she held a press conference in Moscow to launch Manama Capital of Arab Tourism 2013. Arab ambassadors to Russia, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Michael Bogdanov, archaeologists, tourism experts and journalists attended the conference. Shaikha Mai hailed Bahrain’s unique and enriching experience with Russia as part of Manama Capital of Arab Culture. She cited in this regard “Tylos, The Journey Beyond Life” Exhibition, which reflects Bahrain’s ambition to project its artistic wealth of heritage to the world. The year-long Manama Capital of Arab Tourism 2013 will feature four successive quarterly themes – Cultural, Sport, Leisure and Green Tourism.
