The “Madrid Award” for the 2014 best golf tourism destination was given to Morocco for the quality of its tourism offer.
The trophy was presented at a ceremony held Monday night in Madrid to the director of the delegation of the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT) in Spain, Mohamed Sofi.
The “Madrid Award” recognizes the work done by institutions and professionals and their contribution to society, economy, culture and sports.
In a statement to MAP-Madrid, Sofi said the award is a recognition of the significant efforts made by the Kingdom of Morocco for the promotion of tourism in the framework of its national strategy “Vision 2020″
