The German Embassy in Bahrain will unveil its new online appointment system for visa applicants on August 28, 2011. Appointments can be made at www.manama.diplo.de/visa , said a release. Winfried Maier, Press Attache in the embassy, told the Bahrain News Agency that the new system would ensure that applicants would not wait for their turn. They could come in at the appointed time and meet the officials, he said. “Sometimes there are five, at other times there are 50. If a person were to walk in then there would be a huge waiting period. With the new system in place this waiting period would be taken off,” he said. The applicant would find it most convenient to adhere to the appointment time and experience superior service, he added. According to the release, the new system would mean adherence to the new rules. A person walking in without an appointment would never meet the official since all those who visit the embassy would have an appointment.
